CUCA'S SCOPE OF SERVICES

  1. COMPLIANCE MONITORING & REPORTING of hiring and contracting activities.

  2. COMMUNITY OUTREACH: Develop and implement community outreach programs, coordinate vendor fairs  and assist small, minority and women owned business in their business development activities.

  3.  RECRUITMENT of Minority and Female construction workers seeking employment opportunities.

  4.  SCREENING applicants for construction proficiency through personal interview and formal aptitude testing.

  5. CLASSROOM PREPARATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE to develop and upgrade professional skills to insure continuous employment in high-wage jobs;

  6. CAREER COUNSELING AND REFERRAL of applicants to construction jobs and union apprenticeship programs.

  7. ON-THE-JOB-TRAINING (OJT) AND EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY (EEO) supportive services.

  8.  DEVELOPMENT AND PROMOTION OF DBE’S, MBE’S AND WBE’S for maximum participation as contractors, suppliers and vendors on both public and private construction projects.

  9. CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AND GENERAL CONTRACTING to provide minorities and women a consistent resource for economic opportunities in the Chicagoland Construction Industry.

  10. OSHA CERTIFICATION 10 Hour Construction Safety Course developed by the US Department of Labor to provide construction workers, supervisors, and other personnel responsible for construction activities with an awareness of construction safety and health concerns in the construction industry.
