What is an apprentice? |

A paid worker who is enrolled in a special training program administered by an employer, together with a labor organization or trade association. |

It gives you an opportunity to learn a skilled trade through a paid apprenticeship program (earn while you learn). What is the Apprenticeship Preparedness Training Program administered at your organization? |

The A.P.T. program is a training concept developed to provide inner-city youths and young adults with little or no marketable skills, an opportunity to become building trade apprentices. |

What are the requirements to register for the Apprenticeship Preparedness Training Program? |
| A. |
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Original Social Security Card
- Valid Drivers License or State Identification
- Score at least an eighth grade level on a test given at registration.

- You need to fill out a application
- Have to be nominated by your contractor or union official
